Our Investment Approach

Catalyst Fund Management is a private equity company with a social mission. As a team and as individuals, we are passionate about the business potential and the social impact of the growing social business sector. We believe that our experience and entrepreneurial skills will enable us to identify businesses that will generate financial returns alongside tangible social benefits.

We are active investors, taking minority and/or majority shareholdings in businesses that are primarily seeking to raise expansion or growth capital. Our approach is to apply the skills and experience of our team to the businesses in which we invest in a practical and unstuffy manner.

We make investments in businesses which bring positive social benefits either through their sector and/or their management’s focus and approach. We have developed an integrated investment process that enables us to screen, monitor and measure the social impact of the investments alongside our ambition to generate attractive financial returns for our investors.

We will always seek to take a seat on the Board of each company and will work hard to provide the support, advice and guidance to the management teams we have backed. Our investment team and investment committee are highly experienced in private equity, venture capital and general business with the knowledge and expertise of having established, invested in and grown many successful businesses.
